Is The Go Orlando Pass a good deal

When you purchase your desired pass, you’ll actually be getting not just your pass, but a few free extras as well. In addition to reduced admission to 30 different attractions within Florida, you’ll also receive a handy little guidebook full of activity descriptions and maps. In addition, you’ll find a few entertainment, shopping and dining discounts to help you further save money.

But the question is however, is the pass really that good of a deal? That really depends on how you use the pass. If your goal is to visit as many attractions as possible during the amount of days allotted, you’ll end up seeing some nice savings. Here’s a little sample 3 day itinerary showcasing the price between a 3 day pass and the general admission costs for each attraction and activity.

Day 1

  • Legoland $106.99
  • WonderWorks $36.20

Day 2

  • Gatorland $31.94
  • Island Queen Millionaire’s Row Sightseeing cruise $32.10

Are all of the attractions covered with the Go Orlando Pass worth a visit

Most people would agree with the answer yes. If you don’t like one certain kind of activity, that’s fine as you’re sure to find a few that you love. In fact, with 30 different ones to choose from, it’s hard to go wrong. Even if you don’t want to spend all of your time in the city, you can find many different out of city options such as trips to the Everglades and Fort Lauderdale.

If you like science, the pass has got you covered. If you like splashing around in the water, you’re covered there too. In the end, visitors can easily find a few different options each day to keep them busy, learning and having fun.

How not to use the Go Orlando Pass

When you purchase the pass, you’re buying reduced admission prices to 30 different attractions located both in and out of Orlando. How much of a reduction all depends on how you use the pass. There are a few things you don’t want to do, which we’ll outline for you. You don’t want to plan to just visit attractions that have low admission costs. If you end up doing this, you’re likely to only save a little money, if any at all.

Also, it’s a bad idea to plan attractions in the same day that are pretty spread apart and in different parts of the city. For example, you don’t want to plan Boggy Creek Airboats and the Kennedy Space Center in the same day as they are located really far from each other. It would be very unlikely that you would end up having enough time during the day to visit both and therefore could end up using very little of your pass, which would be a shame.

The bottom line

When using the pass, if you take the time to plan your days and visit the more expensive attractions rather than a bunch of the cheaper attractions, you’ll find that you’ll end up saving a good amount of change that can then be used for a few nice dinners, a nicer hotel or kept in your wallet.

If you do the opposite and only visit attractions costing $20 or less, then you will probably be better off without the pass as you may only save a little bit of money, if any at all.

Where do you purchase your Go Orlando Pass

There are two ways you can receive your pass, the first and the most popular way being with your smartphone. If purchase through your phone, you instantly receive your pass and will then just have to show your phone at each gate. If you prefer not to use your phone, you can always receive the pass via email. Once you have opened your email, just print and go!

      Sharon/Sam,

The Go Orlando Card comes in lengths of 2, 3, and 5 days, and from the first day you start using it, you have two weeks to use the last day. So you can do the 5-day version and take many days off in between the activity days. Considering how expensive most of the included attractions are individually, the 5-day version comes out as a great bargain for trips as long as yours. Even if you only did one thing per day on the valid days, you’d save money.

There are no additional discounts for seniors, unfortunately. Have a great trip. -Roger
