Is the Las Vegas Pass a good deal

In order to answer this question well, we must first look at what the pass includes. Each Las Vegas Pass grants a visitor free entry into over 55 of the most popular attractions, tours and experiences in Las Vegas, a free 2-day hop-on, hop-off bus tour ticket that can be used to explore the city, the ability to skip long lings with fast track entry into select attractions and discounts at some of the top Vegas shows, as well as discounts that can be used at select shops and restaurants.

Now it’s time to break down the numbers and see if the Las Vegas Pass will save you money as you visit area attractions. You’ll also get the chance to meet the cast after the show if you’d like.

With the 5-day Las Vegas Pass priced at $569 (cheaper if discounts are available) it’s clear that you only need to do 5 higher priced attractions in that time in order to save money.

Anyone who is trying will easily be able to visit 6 or more attractions in 5 days, so the value is very clear. More good news is that many of these attractions are close to each other on or near the Las Vegas Strip, so it’s pretty easy to hit as many as 4 of them in one day, with your evening still free for an night attraction or dinner.

If you are well organized with your sightseeing you can easily do 4 or even 5 of these premium attractions in 2 or 3 days, which is still quite a good deal, especially if you get the pass at a discount.

Along with the money saved, you’ll find that you will also save time as you’ll be able to skip the long entrance lines and get into each attraction faster. Depending on if the time of day and whether you visit during a weekend, this can end up being a few hours of time saved.

Discounts on the Las Vegas Pass are often available: If you can buy the pass at a discount it’s obviously an even better deal and easier to save money.

Are all of the attractions covered with the Las Vegas Pass worth a visit

As a tourist hotspot with a number of attractions that are visited time and time again, the answer is a simple yes. Because you are able to visit a large number of attractions with your pass, you have free reign over which ones interest you the most, thus allowing you to really customize your vacation. Whether you’re into adventure or the arts, you’ll find it all, even attractions that are suitable for children and are kid approved.

They only thing you’ll really have to take into consideration is the price of each attraction outside of the pass. If you’re only visiting for three days, it’s necessary to make sure that the attractions chosen add up to the cost of the pass or more.

How not to use the Las Vegas Pass

As the Las Vegas Pass works as a consecutive day pass and not on a 24 hour schedule, you’ll want to activate it in the morning as early as possible. This allows you to get the most out of the first day. What you don’t want to do is activate the pass at 3pm the first day. This will cause your pass to only be valid for half a day the first day, no matter how long of a pass you purchased.

You also don’t want to choose attractions that are far away from each other. If you do, then you’re likely to end up visiting a smaller amount of attractions, thus causing the pass to be less of a deal. Instead, you’ll want to pre-plan each day to where you visit attractions that are relatively close to one another. This cuts down on travel time, allowing you to visit more attractions in one day.

The bottom line

After looking at the rates of both the passes and the attractions, it is clear that the Las Vegas Pass is a great tool to save money during your trip. With the pass you’ll receive free entrance into area attractions, the ability to skip long lines and bonus savings around town.
