Last minute Caribbean bargains: Save at least 30% on hotels
Even with Spring Break still more than 5 weeks away for most people, the sale prices at Caribbean hotels are now rolling in. The thing is, most people tend to book their winter holidays in January, so by the time February is half over, things are getting slow and resorts that still have a lot of rooms to fill start cutting prices.
The featured deal here is from Hotels.com, which many people know is owned by Expedia and generally has lower prices and is actually easier to use. They have a sale going on at select resorts that are mostly around 30% off, but some on the list are as much as 65% off. There’s an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic for US$109 per night compared to a normal rate of US$312 per night. For budget travelers there are also some deals available, including a hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica for only US$35 per night, and keep in mind this is still the high season in this entire region.
As you can see on the link above, you have to book by February 25 and travel by March 11, so this is for vacations before the Easter Break. And while not every resort is included, of course, pretty much every beach destination near the US has at least a few great deals available. They include even Paradise Island in the Bahamas at over 55% off, so it’s not like these are just the duds that never fill up anyway.
There are even deals for Rio de Janeiro, which has ideal weather right now, so getting a 4-star beach hotel for around US$200 or less is hard to pass up if you were ever thinking about going. Most of the popular resort cities in Mexico are also represented, and the deals there are as spectacular as you might expect since they are struggling to get tourists even though they are far safer than most of the cities we all live in.
